Kohley’s Celebrates 60th Anniversary
(Muskegon, MI – May 3, 2017) – Kohley’s Superior Water & Propane is celebrating 60 years of business. Family-owned and operated since 1957, Kohley’s has been a dedicated provider of quality water conditioning systems and propane for West Michigan’s residents and businesses.
To celebrate, Kohley’s is throwing a party, open to the public, and extending their popular Super Saturday hours. The party will feature Ryke’s Bakery, Catering and Cafe donuts and BBQ lunch, giveaways and memories.

Kohley’s 60-Year History
Elmer and Dolores Kohley moved to West Michigan in 1957 and purchased a water conditioning franchise.
Propane was not always a part of the Kohley family business. Back in 1981 when gasoline was hard to come by, Kohley’s converted their fleet trucks to propane-powered engines. Customers began asking Kohley’s if they would fill their tanks for them. This in turn, allowed Kohley’s the opportunity to sell propane gas to the community.
In 1989, Lance Kohley took over the family business with his main location based in Muskegon. Since then, Kohley’s expanded to a second location in Fremont and a satellite location in Casnovia in order to serve a larger area and rural customers.
In 2010, Kohley’s rebranded in order to combine both sides of their business – water and propane. Now referred to as Kohley’s Superior Water & Propane, the business continues to deliver quality propane and water services as well as the same caring and personalized service that began 60 years ago.
The entrepreneurial spirit continues to drive Kohley’s to find new ways to better serve their customers. The Muskegon location now carries KeurigÒ K-Cup® Single Cup Brewing Systems and a large variety of KeurigÒ K-Cups®.
