Muskegon, Mich. – Summer has arrived and Michigan’s Adventure is ready to make your Memorial Day Weekend the Best Weekend Ever!

Opening weekend will include Tribute to the Armed Forces on May 28 & 29. Michigan’s Adventure will offer FREE admission to active and retired United States military personnel on Sunday and Monday. This will be the thirteenth year that Michigan’s Adventure has extended the offer of free admission to men and women of the Armed Forces during this special event.

As a part of its Tribute to the Armed Forces program, active and retired members of the U.S military will be able to purchase discounted admission tickets for members of their immediate family (maximum of six) at a special military discount price of $26.00 each. The free ticket offer will be available on Sunday and Monday, May 28 & 29, and a valid military ID must be presented. Each year members of the Michigan’s Adventure management team look forward to the opportunity to host the distribution table and meet the brave men and women that give so much to our country.

Early season at the park will offer a variety of special events to guests, including American Heroes Week, Season Pass Holder Bring-a-Friend Days, the Scouting Outing, Coaster Campout and special youth events. With the introduction of a new web site in 2017, guests will be able to keep up with the latest news at the park, www.miadventure.com.

Michigan’s Adventure will be open on May 24 for Physics Day. Students from around the state will visit the amusement park and put the skills that they learned in the classroom to work while riding thrill rides and roller coasters.

Funland Farm has returned for a second season. A fan favorite in 2016, the family-friendly area will again offer a variety of farm animals for guests to meet. Furry friends include a miniature donkey, goats, alpaca, llamas, a miniature horse, chickens and more. Funland Farm is included with park admission.

Home to Thunderhawk and Shivering Timbers, Michigan’s Adventure offers a variety of thrill rides, family rides, and kiddie rides. Thunderhawk is Michigan’s only suspended looping roller coaster, and Shivering Timbers has been consistently ranked as one of the finest wooden roller coasters in the world since it was introduced.

Michigan’s Adventure Season Passes are available at a special rate though May 29. Season pass holders are offered a variety of perks, including early water park entry on select days, bring-a-friend days and park discounts.
