Muskegon, MI, June 15, 2017 – The public is invited to join West Michigan author Wade Rouse at the Muskegon Area District Library Montague Branch, Wednesday, June 28, 7:00 pm. Rouse will discuss his best-selling novel — The Charm Bracelet, written using his pen name, Viola Shipman.

The Charm Bracelet was recently named a 2017 Michigan Notable Book. The story relates how the charms of a grandmother’s heirloom bracelet reconnects her to her daughter and granddaughter reminding them in this too-busy age of what is most important in life: family, faith, friends, fun, love and a passion for what you do.

Rouse uses his grandmother’s name to pay tribute to the woman whose heirlooms, lessons and love inspired his fiction and to become a writer and the person he is today. Rouse writes regularly for People, Good Housekeeping and Coastal Living, among other places and is a contributor to All Thing Considered. He divides his time between the resort towns of Saugatuck-Douglas, Michigan and Palm Springs, California. For more, visit www.violashipman.com or www.waderouse.com

This event is part of the Montague Branch Summer Book Talks series and includes several 2017 Michigan Notable Book authors sponsored by the Friends of the Montague Library. The Michigan Notable Books Program is sponsored by the Library of Michigan, Library of Michigan Foundation and the Michigan Humanities Council.
