Postcard Salon Exhibition and Sale

The Muskegon Museum of Art’s annual Postcard Salon exhibition ends this Thursday, March 9 with a sale of original 4 x 6 inch artworks priced at $30 each. All cards will be available for purchase starting at 7:00 pm.The proceeds will be split between the artists and the museum. The event starts with a free public reception and refreshments at 5:30 pm.

The Frame and Mat Shop of Grand Haven, Holland, and Rockford will be on hand at the sale to sell custom postcard frames for only $5. All proceeds from the frame sales will benefit the Muskegon Museum of Art.

The Postcard Salon event showcases the creative talents of West Michigan artists of all ages, from beginners to accomplished professionals. Past years have seen over 1,000 cards on view, and visitors can spend hours hunting for favorites. This year’s selection numbers 1481 cards from 453 artists. “Both are record numbers,” states MMA Sr. Curator Art Martin. This year’s Postcard Salon is sponsored by G & L Greek Chili Dogs.
