WEST MICHIGAN BRANDS THEIR QUALITY MADE GOODS!

During this challenging economic transition, many people have lost sight of the quality of the products that are made in Michigan, specifically in West Michigan.  The chambers of commerce in West Michigan are promoting an initiative that will shine a positive light on West Michigan, creating new business investment.  The promotion is called, "Quality Made in West Michigan".

"If just 100 West Michigan manufacturers participate in this program, for virtually no cost, it will send a strong message around the world about the quality of manufacturing here," according to Cindy Larsen, President of the Muskegon Area Chamber of Commerce.

BUY LOCAL. THINK GLOBAL.

As Muskegon transitions into the global economy, it is important we support the local businesses that provide local employment, tax revenue and the goods and services we need.  Where we spend money does matter!                                                                                                                              View video clips>

Spend a dollar at a local business, and it will circulate in our community more often and more quickly than if we spend that dollar at a non-local business - up to six times more. This means:

-more people get a paycheck
-pay their bills
-purchase goods & services from their friends & neighbors.

If everyone in Muskegon spent $100 at locally-owned businesses...it would pump $10.5 million back into the local economy!
